Ireland introduces temporary Visa Waiver scheme

We would like to advise you of the new Short Term Visa Waiver Scheme, which was introduced, on a pilot basis, on 1 July 2011 by the Irish Government. Essentially, the scheme will allow the holders of Russian, Uzbek and Kazakh passports who have obtained a valid UK visa to travel on to Ireland. Further information may be obtained from the Embassy of Ireland website at Embassy Note. The pilot programme will conclude in October 2012.
